Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belt comes to the cage accompanied by Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Belt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hoy Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt just misses with a punch to the body.
Belt works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nelson misses with a head kick.
Belt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nelson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nelson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Nelson gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nelson in particular looking to stall.
Belt tries to roll over but Nelson keeps him under control.

Belt is trying is best to control the position here.
Belt wants to improve his position but Nelson is controlling well.
Belt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belt.
Belt pulls Nelson in to control the position.
Nelson passes Belt's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Belt wants to control but Nelson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Belt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nelson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nelson's back!
Belt is riding his opponent, not letting Nelson buck him off.
Belt trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

What can Nelson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

We're going to have a standup here because Black Belt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Nelson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Belt avoids the head kick by Nelson.
Belt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Belt is fending him off so far but Nelson persists. Nope, Belt circles away and we're back to standing.

A looping hook to the body misses from Belt. Nelson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Belt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away.
Nelson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Black Belt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belt avoids the head kick by Nelson.
Belt connects with a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab from Belt does it's job there.
Belt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nelson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nelson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Belt avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nelson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nice uppercut lands for Belt. That snapped Nelson's head back.
The fighters circle momentarily. Belt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Belt is looking to wear down Nelson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That kick from Belt tenderised Nelson's leg. Nelson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Nelson is breathing heavily.

Belt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Belt throws an overhand right that lands on Nelson's shoulder, as Nelson tries to avoid the shot.
Nelson throws a lazy head kick
and Belt counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nelson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nelson blocks a head kick by Belt.
Belt just misses with a punch to the body.
Belt lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hoy Nelson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Belt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Belt connects with a leg kick. Nelson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Nelson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Belt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Belt sprawls well. Belt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.
Nelson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Belt defends it nicely.
Black Belt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hoy Nelson.

Belt is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Nelson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Nelson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Belt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nelson can do to turn this around?

Belt moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Belt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nelson throws the kick towards the body but Belt avoids it.

Nelson moves out of range of the leg kick from Belt.

Belt is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Belt circles away.
Nelson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Belt swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Nelson is rocked!
Belt jabs Nelson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Belt tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Belt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Belt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nelson sprawling to the canvas! Nelson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Belt finish him?!
Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Belt finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Crack! Belt connects with the perfect overhand right and Nelson falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Belt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Black Belt!
A very excited looking Black Belt made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
