Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bronco Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes to the cage accompanied by Conflict-Disturbed. Nathan Summers could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bronco Buster's chin.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bronco Buster! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Buster.
Summers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Summers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Summers sitting in guard here, content to control. Summers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Summers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Summers throwing strikes but missing. Summers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Buster's head. Buster is controlling Summers's posture. Summers wants to control from the top but Buster keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buster pulls Summers in close to prevent any damage. Buster utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Summers throws a big elbow that misses. Buster is trying to control the position but Summers postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bronco Buster was stalling too much, according to the referee. Some bone on bone action there as Summers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Buster looks to land a combination. Summers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Summers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buster throws out the jab. A telegraphed right hand from Summers misses the target. Buster throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A leg kick checked by Summers. Buster throws a low kick but it's checked well by Summers. Summers catches Buster with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Buster throws a jab when Summers was well out of range. Buster is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Summers. Buster tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Summers lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Buster throws a leg kick and Summers counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Buster misses the jab. Buster takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Summers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Buster. Buster circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Summers scores with a body shot.
Buster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Summers eats them both and turns towards Buster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Summers dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Summers checks a low kick from Buster. A jab lands there for Summers. Summers moves out of range of the strikes. Buster jabbing away but nothing is landing. Buster throws a poor cross that misses
and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand! Buster throws a hook to the side of Summers's head but Summers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Summers connects with a crisp jab. Buster circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Summers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Buster works the jab nicely. Buster on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Buster throws a wild body kick that Summers sees coming a mile off. Buster moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Summers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buster paws at him with a jab and circles away. A slapping leg kick lands for Buster.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head punch blocked on the inside by Buster. Summers lands with a right to the head. Summers doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Summers has had enough of the clinch but Buster keeps him there for the moment. Buster using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Summers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Summers tries to close the distance and clinch but Buster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Summers avoids a kick to the body.
Nathan Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Summers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Buster punishes Summers's body with a nice straight punch. Summers tries to close the distance and clinch but Buster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Buster does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Summers misses with an uppercut. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Buster, right into the meat.

Summersis looking to pass into half guard but Buster pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Buster is in guard. Buster trying to control but Summers is working from the bottom. Buster in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bronco Buster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Summers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Summers working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Buster's thigh. Buster counters though and makes it back to full guard. Buster looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Summers is looking to work some ground and pound but Buster has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buster trying to keep a closed guard but Summers is proving a slippery customer.
Summers controls from within his opponent's guard. Summers postures up in Buster's guard and throws a big left but Buster blocks it. Summers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Nathan Summers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
