PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Basileo Gallegos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallegos comes into the arena with Cryin' Like A Bitch!! blaring out of the sound system. Samuel Washington told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington lands with a good body shot.
Washington scores with a jab.
Washington connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gallegos. Gallegos circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Washington throws a low kick but Gallegos avoids it.
Washington pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gallegos on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Washington. Washington obviously looking to wear him down.
Washington sizes up Gallegos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gallegos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Washington darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Gallegos might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Washington just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
I really don't envy Gallegos right now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gallegos tries to roll but Washington sticks to his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
