Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michele Mancinelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Hawkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mancinelli's entrance music is Lookin' Out My Backdoor. A fine choice. Hawkes has chosen I'm Shipping Up to Boston as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michele Mancinelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonathan Hawkes!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mancinelli misses with a wild combination.
Hawkes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mancinelli moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mancinelli fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hawkes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mancinelli throws a lazy right hand but Hawkes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mancinelli!
Hawkes explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A combination from Hawkes does no damage.
Hawkes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mancinelli clobbers Hawkes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mancinelli looks to throw the jab but Hawkes is out of range.
Hawkes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mancinelli checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Hawkes scores with a shot to the side of Mancinelli's head.
Mancinelli is looking to take this one to the mat.
Mancinelli lands an elbow inside that Hawkes shrugs off.
Mancinelli can't find room to land a body shot as Hawkes controls the action.
Mancinelli misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hawkes misses with the head strike.
Hawkes throws a knee to the head but misses.

Hawkes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Hawkes tries to stall but Mancinelli uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hawkes gets through Mancinelli's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Hawkes doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

A right hook to the body lands for Hawkes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mancinelli has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hawkes after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michele Mancinelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawkes scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Hawkes lands a right hand.

Mancinelli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hawkes's waist but Hawkes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mancinelli off to one side.
Mancinelli scores with a one two! Hawkes had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mancinelli throws a head kick but Hawkes moves out of range.
Mancinelli lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hawkes throws a nice looking combination but Mancinelli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hawkes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mancinelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good standup being displayed there by Hawkes as he connects with a hook.

Hawkes lands a big head kick that sends Mancinelli tumbling to the mat! Hawkes takes a step backwards and waves Mancinelli back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Mancinelli is rocked!

Hawkes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oh Mancinelli is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hawkes throws a lazy head kick
and Mancinelli counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Hawkes goes for a small jab and connects. Now Hawkes goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Mancinelli stumbles back but Hawkes runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Mancinelli to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Mancinelli will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
