Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sunny Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denny Prestol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sunny Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Denny Prestol! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day slips under a jab. Day shoots in but Prestol avoids the takedown attempt easily. Day moves out of range as Prestol strikes. Prestol misses with a hook. Day ducked under it nicely. Day shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Day keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Prestol. Day tries to close the distance and clinch up but Prestol swats him away and circles back towards the center. Day takes a shot right to the bread basket. A slow jab from Prestol misses its intended target. Denny Prestol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Prestol misses with a lunging right hand
and Day counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Prestol's guard now. Prestol wants to sweep but no luck. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Prestol manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Day tries to hold on but Prestol pushes him away. Prestol blocks Day's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day is desperately trying to improve his position but Prestol has a good base and remains in mount. Prestol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Day keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Prestol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Day is working hard here to advance position. Prestol trying to control but Day is having none of it. Prestol controlling from the full mount. Day is squirming around, avoiding Prestol's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day is in all sorts of trouble here.
Day regains half guard. Prestol is looking to take a break and control but Day is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Denny Prestol was stalling too much, according to the referee. Prestol lands a head shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Prestol misses with a looping left. Prestol throws out a loose jab but Day uses good head movement to avoid it. A swing and a miss from Prestol. Prestol lands a nice looking body shot.
Day staying out of range there. Prestol misses the jab. Day takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Day counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Day. Day tries to pull guard but Prestol won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sunny Day. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prestol working hard to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Day pulls guard effortlessly. Day working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Prestol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Day is tightening it up a little... Prestol has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Prestol reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Prestol taps out! Nice BJJ there by Day!
