Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Colver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinya Ishikawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Colver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shinya Ishikawa! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishikawa throws a nice outside leg kick. Ishikawa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Colver is looking to improve his position.
Ishikawa controlling the pace. Ishikawa tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Colver. Ishikawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Colver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ishikawa slows the pace down in half guard. Colver is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Ishikawa pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Ishikawa is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ishikawa stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Colver to get to his feet. Ishikawa's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ishikawa duly obliges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ishikawa misses with a takedown attempt - Colver sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Colver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ishikawa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Colver circles away. Colver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Colver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ishikawa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ishikawa fails with the takedown. Justin Colver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinya Ishikawa. Ishikawa looks gassed! Nice takedown defense from Ishikawa. No joy for Colver on that attempt. Ishikawa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Colver fails to land. Ishikawa connects with a nasty looking knee right to Colver's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colver fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ishikawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Colver closes the distance looking to clinch and Ishikawa counters by moving into the clinch. Colver tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ishikawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Colver throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Colver waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Ishikawa. Ishikawa shoots in for a double leg but Colver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ishikawa has Colver up against the cage in a clinch.
Colver decides to pull guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Colver is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colver with a nice head shot there. Ishikawa looking to control but Colver passes into half guard.

Ishikawa wants to control but Colver is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Colver works his way into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinya Ishikawa dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ishikawa forces Colver back against the cage and clinches. Colver trying to stall but Ishikawa improves his position.

Ishikawa fails with the takedown. Colver wants to clinch but Ishikawa slips to the side and Ishikawa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Colver's guard now. Colver trying to keep a closed guard but Ishikawa is proving a slippery customer.
Ishikawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Colver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ishikawa stands up and waves to Colver to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishikawa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Colver's sensitive parts. Ishikawa shoots in but no luck this time. Ishikawa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Justin Colver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinya Ishikawa. Ishikawa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colver, pushing him back against the cage. Colver swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The is referee keeping an eye on Ishikawa - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Colver is trying to break free. Ishikawa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ishikawa moves into the clinch. Ishikawa is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colver tries to score a body lock takedown but Ishikawa shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ishikawa has Colver pushed against the cage. Colver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ishikawa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ishikawa makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Ishikawa jumps guard and drags Colver to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Ishikawa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Colver is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colver trying to control but Ishikawa is working from the bottom. Ishikawa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ishikawa is trying to keep Colver in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Colver throws a looping overhand right but Ishikawa ducks down to avoid it. Ishikawa scores with a one two! Colver had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Justin Colver has been cut. Ishikawa moves into the clinch. Ishikawa manages to break the clinch.

Ishikawa prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ishikawa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinya Ishikawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Justin Colver's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Ishikawa is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ishikawa drags the fight down to the ground.
Colver being controlled here momentarily. Ishikawa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishikawa keeping moving, preventing Colver from controlling successfully. Ishikawa wants to sweep but no luck. Ishikawa working a defensive guard but Colver passes into half guard.
Ishikawa is staying active underneath Colver, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Colver sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ishikawa defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ishikawa trying to hold on to Colver's head to control him but Colver postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Colver does no damage. Ishikawa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Colver tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ishikawa swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Colver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Colver tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ishikawa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Colver throws a sloppy head kick and Ishikawa counters by moving into the clinch. Ishikawa tries to land knees in the clinch but Colver avoids the damage to the body. Ishikawa keeps control of Colver as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ishikawa stalling in the clinch.
Colver tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ishikawa smiles and moves away.
Colver shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ishikawa as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ishikawa fails with a takedown attempt. Ishikawa gets a clinch. Ishikawa with a knee to the head.

Shinya Ishikawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ishikawa lands with a right hand. Ishikawa rushes Colver and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ishikawa working some nice short punches in the clinch. Ishikawa lands with a short head shot on the inside. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishikawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ishikawa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ishikawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Colver avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ishikawa prevents Colver from breaking the clinch. Nice body punch from Ishikawa - that landed with a thud.
Ishikawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ishikawa closes the distance and clinches. Ishikawa scores with a hook to the body. Colver tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ishikawa jumps into guard, dragging Colver to the mat.
Ishikawa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Colver is controlling him. Ishikawa keeping moving, preventing Colver from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Shinya Ishikawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ishikawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
