Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nui Kaeo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Westinghouse! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaeo shoots for a takedown but Westinghouse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Westinghouse is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaeo is defended easily by Westinghouse. Kaeo throws a series of punches but Westinghouse avoids them all with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaeo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westinghouse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Westinghouse pushes Kaeo up against the cage in a clinch. Kaeo is trying to push Westinghouse away but Westinghouse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kaeo wants to take the fight to the mat but Westinghouse manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nui Kaeo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Westinghouse pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Kaeo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Nui Kaeo has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Westinghouse misses with a jab, cross combination.
Westinghouse gets a clinch. Westinghouse will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kaeo up against the cage.

Kaeo tries to pull guard but Westinghouse holds him up against the cage and eventually Kaeo drops back down to his feet.

Westinghouse avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Westinghouse gets a clinch. Kaeo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Westinghouse pulls him back up using the underhooks. Westinghouse scores with a knee to the head.

Nui Kaeo's cut is getting worse. Westinghouse connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kaeo's face.
Westinghouse lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Westinghouse prevents the takedown attempt.
Kaeo is breathing heavily. Kaeo is trying to drag Westinghouse to the mat but Westinghouse just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Al Westinghouse dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nui Kaeo's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Kaeo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Westinghouse pinned against the cage. Westinghouse gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Westinghouse lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Westinghouse has closed the distance and engaged Kaeo in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaeo is trying to push Westinghouse away but Westinghouse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Westinghouse misses with a knee to the head. Kaeo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kaeo can't get the takedown.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nui Kaeo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Westinghouse keeps control of Kaeo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kaeo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kaeo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Westinghouse is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kaeo to the mat. Kaeo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Westinghouse sitting in guard here, content to control. Westinghouse wants to get up but he can't break Kaeo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Westinghouse with a flurry of punches that miss. Kaeo has a closed guard, preventing Westinghouse from standing up. Kaeo controls Westinghouse momentarily but Westinghouse frees himself.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Al Westinghouse wasn't active enough on the ground. Westinghouse is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kaeo's half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Westinghouse is thwarting Kaeo's attempts to control the position. Kaeo regains full guard. Nicely done. Kaeo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Westinghouse is looking to stand up but Kaeo won't let him. Kaeo wants to sweep here but Westinghouse controlling him for the moment. Kaeo is working an open guard so Westinghouse takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Westinghouse fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kaeo, pushing him back against the cage. Kaeo wants to break free but Westinghouse has control.

Kaeo wants to take the fight to the mat but Westinghouse manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Kaeo working aggressively here.
Westinghouse lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Kaeo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kaeo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Westinghouse prevents it.

Kaeo goes for a takedown attempt but Westinghouse pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Al Westinghouse! A relieved looking Al Westinghouse thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
