Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzaga comes to the cage accompanied by Hypnotize. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Urijah Gonzaga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rip James! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzaga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. James trying to control here.
James might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gonzaga kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. James controlling the position for now. James is pressing down on Gonzaga's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gonzaga preventing the sweep. James is trying to control the position but Gonzaga postures up. James looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gonzaga passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. James gets back to half guard. James wants to get back to full guard. Gonzaga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks James with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gonzaga tries to pass the half guard into mount. James knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. James looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gonzaga landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzaga is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gonzaga wants to work for an arm triangle but James is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
James moves into full guard.
James looking for a guillotine here but Gonzaga defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzaga stopping the sweep attempt from James.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gonzaga should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, James has tightened it up now! Gonzaga should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
