The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hester rushes Flair and presses him up against the cage.
Hester gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Flair.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hester just misses with a elbow thrown towards Flair's brow.
Flair jumps guard but Hester turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Flair shoots in looking for a takedown. Hester tries to sprawl out of it but Flair keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hester manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Hester holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hester throws a head punch that misses.
Flair tries to pull guard but Hester holds him up against the cage and eventually Flair drops back down to his feet.
Hester swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hester pushes Flair back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hester lands a shoulder strike.
Flair blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hester doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hester tries a body shot but Flair blocks it.
Hester throws a punch but it's blocked by Flair.
Flair jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hester walks away with a smile on his face. Flair gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Flair fails with the takedown
and Flair takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Flair will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Flair misses with a hook
and Hester counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Flair keeps the fight on the outside.
Hester tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Flair counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Flair is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Flair wants to pass the guard but Hester is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Flair drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hester looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hester looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hester!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Hester dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ric Flair's cut.
That's time! Flair's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Flair fails with a takedown attempt.
Hester moves away from the strike by Flair.
Flair misses with an uppercut. Hester saw that one coming.
Flair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flair loads up on a big right hand but Hester slips the punch.
Hester looks to throw the jab but Flair is out of range.
Hester tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flair swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Flair counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hester!

Hester tries to improve his position but instead Flair has taken his back!
Flair is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hester defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Flair keeps control of the position as Hester tries to break free.
Flair has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hester has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flair is working for a rear naked choke. Hester is not defending it well and Flair has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hester refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hester's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ric Flair!
