These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carneiro Lino misses with a left hand
and Santana cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carneiro Lino fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santana avoids it really well and circles away.
Carneiro Lino throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santana.
Santana misses with a double jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Santana throws a leg kick but Carneiro Lino checks it.
Carneiro Lino misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carneiro Lino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santana tries to avoid it but Carneiro Lino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santana to the ground. Santana escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Santana goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Carneiro Lino fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carneiro Lino tries to move into range but Santana moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carneiro Lino throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santana counters with a right hand to the body.
Santana connects with a nice looking jab.
A solid leg kick lands there for Santana.
Carneiro Lino looks gassed!
Carneiro Lino glances at the clock... BAM! Santana nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Carneiro Lino crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Carneiro Lino is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joel Santana!
