Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Cadge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Schkelpt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadge's entrance music is Jaws of Life. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Cadge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikey Schkelpt! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schkelpt connects with a right hand. Cadge shakes it off. Schkelpt misses with a hook. Cadge scores with a jab.
It looks like Mikey Schkelpt has been cut. Schkelpt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cadge. Schkelpt looks to throw the jab but Cadge is out of range. Cadge misses with a hook. Cadge paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schkelpt ducks under a wild hook from Cadge. Schkelpt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cadge thows a body shot but no joy. Cadge clinches up with Schkelpt and pushes him back against the cage. Cadge gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Cadge missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Schkelpt wants to improve his position but Cadge is controlling well.
Schkelpt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cadge is working away from the top position though. Schkelpt wants to get back to full guard. Schkelpt looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge lands a couple of decent looking shots. Schkelpt is trying to keep Cadge in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cadge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schkelpt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cadge lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cadge working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Schkelpt's head. Cadge wants to pass the guard but Schkelpt is keeping the position. Schkelpt wants to sweep here but Cadge controlling him for the moment. Schkelpt has his foot on Cadge's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cadge works his way back into a safe position though. Cadge wants to pass the guard but Schkelpt is keeping the position. Schkelpt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cadge trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schkelpt is trying to control the position but Cadge postures up. Cadge throws a strike but Schkelpt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Schkelpt is looking to stand up but Cadge won't let him. Schkelpt postures up.
Cadge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schkelpt is one step ahead there. Schkelpt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cadge's guard. Cadge wants to sweep here but Schkelpt controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schkelpt tries to stand but Cadge is controlling from the bottom. Cadge wants to sweep here but Schkelpt controlling him for the moment. Schkelpt wants to stand but Cadge has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cadge pulls Schkelpt in close to his closed guard and prevents Schkelpt from doing any damage or advancing position.
We're going to have a standup here because Nathan Cadge wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Schkelpt scores with a jab. Cadge acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Schkelpt misses with a straight left. Schkelpt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cadge. Schkelpt throws a jab when Cadge was well out of range. A big left from Schkelpt misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schkelpt scores with a decent looking hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schkelpt cracks Cadge with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Schkelpt has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cadge to stand back up!
Cadge is rocked! Cadge loads up on a big right hand but Schkelpt slips the punch. Oh Cadge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cadge slips under a jab from Schkelpt. Cadge swinging wildly here.
Schkelpt misses the jab. Schkelpt connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Cadge to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Schkelpt!
