Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leo Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Daroughe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tobias Daroughe was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leo Bennet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tobias Daroughe! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daroughe tries to sprawl but Bennet drives through with a takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bennet is working for a kimura but Daroughe is defending it quite comfortably.
Bennet not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bennet is taking a breather. Daroughe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bennet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Daroughe is pressing down on Bennet's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bennet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daroughe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Daroughe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bennet has picked Daroughe up and slammed him! Daroughe can't keep hold of the triangle and Bennet manages to pass to side control! Daroughe is looking to regain half guard here but Bennet keeps moving and retains side control. Daroughe looks gassed! Bennet tries to move to mount but Daroughe blocks the move with his legs. Bennet moves into full mount! A nice elbow there by Bennet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennet working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bennet tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Daroughe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bennet landing strikes, looking to finish! Daroughe defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bennet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Daroughe wants to control but Bennet is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennet pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bennet stands up from mount. Strange move. Bennet has closed the distance and engaged Daroughe in a clinch.
Daroughe stalling in the clinch but Bennet improves position. Bennet jumps guard.
Daroughe wants to stand but Bennet has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bennet escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daroughe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennet pulls Daroughe in close to his closed guard and prevents Daroughe from doing any damage or advancing position. Bennet's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bennet keeping moving, preventing Daroughe from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bennet lands a decent shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Bennet dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Bennet fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Daroughe to the ground. Bennet is now in Daroughe's guard. Daroughe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bennet lands a couple of digs. Bennet sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bennet drops back looking for a leg! Daroughe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daroughe manages to kick Bennet off! Bennet jumps back into Daroughe's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Daroughe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bennet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Leo Bennet wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Daroughe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bennet sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daroughe somewhat. Daroughe misses with a takedown and Bennet counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennet seems to be looking for submissions.
Still in half guard, Bennet seems content to control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Daroughe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We're going to have a standup here because Leo Bennet wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Daroughe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bennet is fending him off so far but Daroughe persists. Nope, Bennet circles away and we're back to standing. Leo Bennet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobias Daroughe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennet takes one to the chin there. Bennet darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bennet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daroughe is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennet looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Daroughe strikes from the bottom but Bennet passes into mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bennet lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Daroughe hang on? Bennet controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Bennet dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Daroughe throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bennet shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daroughe napping and manages to drive through into side control! Daroughe gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Daroughe is looking for a sweep. Bennet is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bennet seems to be looking for submissions.
Daroughe looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Bennet pushes past his half guard into mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bennet content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet stands up from mount. Strange move. Bennet looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bennet is in close to Daroughe's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bennet postures up.
Daroughe has an active guard here but Bennet has managed to pass into half guard.
Still in half guard, Bennet seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daroughe flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Daroughe wants to control but Bennet is keeping busy.
Leo Bennet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bennet working Daroughe over with strikes. Bennet frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bennet looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennet lands with some strikes. Bennet working away from the top, dropping strikes. Daroughe is trying to escape the mount.
Bennet is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Daroughe can do to turn this around? Daroughe is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Bennet scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennet landing strikes from the mount. Bennet punishing his opponent with strikes. Bennet controlling his opponent. Bennet has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tobias Daroughe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leo Bennet is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Daroughe is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Leo Bennet showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bennet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
