The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragic scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Dragic misses with a double jab.
Figaro shoots in for a takedown but Dragic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Figaro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dragic makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dragic moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dragic lands with a thumping leg kick.
Figaro looks gassed!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dragic, as that shot connected.
It looks like Sabin Figaro has been cut.
Figaro drops his hands momentarily and Dragic needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Figaro just on the top of the head. Figaro drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Figaro - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dragan Dragic!
Dragan Dragic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
