Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Waddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Marcolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcolini has chosen Raffaella Carra - Rumore as his entrance music. Marco Marcolini has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Michael Waddell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Marcolini! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waddell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Marcolini on the side of the head. Marcolini throws an overhand right that lands on Waddell's shoulder, as Waddell tries to avoid the shot. Marcolini feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Waddells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Waddell misses the jab. Marcolini misses with a looping left. Waddell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Waddell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marcolini. Waddell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Waddell jabs at Marcolini's body. Waddell checks the leg kick nicely there.
Marcolini throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Waddell lands a nice looking body shot.
Waddell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marcolini does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Waddell moves into the clinch. Marcolini can't find room to land a body shot as Waddell controls the action.
Waddell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Marcolini throws a knee to the head but misses.
Waddell works on Marcolini's body with a couple of short punches. Marcolini's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Marcolini landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Waddell gets a trip takedown into half guard. Marcolini moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Waddell with a flurry of punches that miss. Waddell throws a big elbow that misses. Marcolini working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Waddell. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waddell looking to sit in guard and control but Marcolini gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Waddell wants to get back to his feet but Marcolini is in a dominant position and won't allow it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Waddell is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcolini looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waddell is one step ahead there. Waddell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marcolini works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Waddell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Waddell looking to sit in guard and control but Marcolini gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Marcolini wants to pass the guard but Waddell is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Waddell trying to keep a closed guard but Marcolini is proving a slippery customer.
We're going to have a standup here because Michael Waddell wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Marcolini throws a nice looking combination but Waddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Marcolini is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Marcolini tries to land a front kick but Waddell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Marcolini throws a hook but Waddell blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waddell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Marcolini's head backwards. Marcolini displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Waddell throws out the jab. Waddell throws a right and a left that Marcolini avoids nicely. Waddell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Waddell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marcolini was well out of range. Poor timing from Waddell. Waddell lunges at Marcolini with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Marcolini's hand. A right-left combo lands from Marcolini. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Waddell connects with a body shot that sends Marcolini's belly button to the back. Marcolini blocks a low kick nicely. Marcolini misses with the combination.
Waddell throws a body punch but Marcolini moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Marcolini tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Waddell cracks Marcolini with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Waddell throws a shot from downtown. Marcolini moves away and avoids it. The fight stays on the outside here - Marcolini looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marcolini throws a right and a left that Waddell avoids nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Waddell will probably get the nod. That's time! Waddell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Waddell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Marcolini tries to move into range but Waddell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Marcolini's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Marcolini duly obliges. Marcolini uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Waddell. Waddell throws a low kick but it's checked well by Marcolini. Marcolini checks a leg kick nicely. Waddell misses with a straight left. A big left from Marcolini misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marcolini tries to close the distance and clinch up but Waddell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marcolini waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Waddell. Marcolini scores with a sloppy right hand. Waddell should have avoided that one. Waddell scores with a leg kick.
Waddell cracks Marcolini with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Marcolini waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Waddell. A lazy left from Waddell finds it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcolini walks into a stiff left hand from Waddell. Waddell scores with a leg kick.

A slow jab from Marcolini misses its intended target. Marcolini uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Waddell. Marcolini throws a hook to the side of Waddell's head but Waddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Marcolini moves out of range of the strikes. Michael Waddell is winning the standup battle so far. Marcolini throws a shot from downtown. Waddell moves away and avoids it. Waddell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Waddell is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Marcolini on the wrong end of a nice jab. Waddell misses with a series of wild punches.

Marcolini shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Waddell as he avoids it easily. Waddell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marcolini did well to prevent Waddell getting side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Waddell missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marcolini wants to get back to full guard. Waddell is trying to control. Marcolini wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Marcolini keeps control of the position for the meantime. Waddell working Marcolini over with strikes. Waddell wants to free his trapped foot but Marcolini is holding on for dear life with his legs. Waddell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Waddell lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddell is working for an americana but Marcolini has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Waddell was thinking about the submission. Waddell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Waddell throws a big right hand that misses. Waddell postures up in Marcolini's guard and throws a big left but Marcolini blocks it. Marcolini tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marcolini has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Waddell connects with a couple of short punches. Marcolini bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Waddell's guard. Michael Waddell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Waddell is trying to keep Marcolini in close.
Waddell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Waddell dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A leg kick checked by Waddell. Marcolini is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Marcolini shoots in but Waddell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sloppy strikes from Marcolini. Those never looked like landing. Waddell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Marcolini throws a body punch but Waddell moves out of range. Waddell is looking to slow Marcolini down with leg kicks. Marcolini misses with an uppercut. Waddell saw that one coming. Marcolini with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Waddell to score with a decent uppercut. Marcolini swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Marcolini tries to clinch but Waddell is having none of it. Marcolini tries to close the distance and clinch but Waddell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Waddell connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Waddell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marcolini manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Waddell is looking to work some ground and pound but Marcolini has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waddell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marcolini keeping moving, preventing Waddell from controlling successfully. Marcolini wants to sweep here but Waddell controlling him for the moment. Waddell is working Marcolini over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Waddell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Marcolini looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marcolini looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marcolini! Marcolini trying to control the action but Waddell is working from the bottom. Marcolini misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waddell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Marcolini's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Marcolini looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Marcolini wants to control but Waddell is keeping him busy. Waddell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Marcolini. Marcolini is trying to work for a kimura but Waddell is defending well.
Marcolini wants to free his trapped foot but Waddell is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Marcolini. Waddell tries to get to full guard but Marcolini has control of the leg. Marcolini is thwarting Waddell's attempts to control the position. Marcolini trying to pass the guard but Waddell defending well. Marcolini moves into full mount! Waddell won't be happy about that! Marcolini is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Waddell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waddell wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Marcolini.
Waddell regains half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Waddell is not content to let Marcolini control the position. Marco Marcolini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Waddell regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Marcolini. Michael Waddell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Marcolini throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Marco Marcolini comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Waddell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
