Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Blaszczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Sapp!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaszczyk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blaszczyk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sapp lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Blaszczyk gets caught flat footed, as Sapp shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Sapp gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Blaszczyk tries a head kick but it misses.

Sapp lands a left and a right that send Blaszczyk crashing to the mat, dazed. Sapp thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Damian Blaszczyk has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sapp closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blaszczyk quickly recovers to half guard.
Sapp prevents Blaszczyk from standing back up.
Sapp is keen to just control but Blaszczyk is a slippery customer.
Blaszczyk is trying to stand.
Blaszczyk is breathing heavily.
Sapp keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sapp is trying to control. Blaszczyk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bob Sapp.

Sapp fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Blaszczyk to the ground. Sapp is now in Blaszczyk's guard.

Sapp gets to his feet. Blaszczyk looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sapp drives through and clinches with Blaszczyk against the cage.
Blaszczyk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sapp has him pressed against the cage.

Blaszczyk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sapp to keep the fight standing.
Blaszczyk is trying to break free.
Sapp lands with a right to the head.
Sapp with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


Damian Blaszczyk's cut is getting worse.

Sapp is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Blaszczyk can't fight it off and eventually Sapp manages to take the fight to the floor. Blaszczyk looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sapp with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sapp would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sapp sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blaszczyk's guard.

Sapp looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sapp trying to pass the guard but Blaszczyk defending well.
Blaszczyk pushes Sapp off looking to stand but Sapp dives back in and keeps control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sapp throws a series of strikes that have Blaszczyk backpedaling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sapp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sapp manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sapp trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Sapp wants to stand and escape but Blaszczyk is having none of it.
Sapp looking to control.
Sapp is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Blaszczyk won't allow Sapp to sweep him here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bob Sapp.

Blaszczyk tries to keep at a distance but Sapp has taken the fight into the clinch.
Blaszczyk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Sapp dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Blaszczyk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sapp circles away.

Sapp shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Blaszczyk manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Sapp slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sapp throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Sapp is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blaszczyk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sapp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blaszczyk keeps working.

Blaszczyk is trying to buck Sapp off.
Sapp wants to control but Blaszczyk is keeping him busy.
Blaszczyk is trying to buck Sapp off.
Sapp has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
An elbow from Sapp crashes against the mat.
Blaszczyk pushes Sapp away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sapp gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blaszczyk on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Sapp advances to full mount.
Sapp with a couple of short strikes.


Damian Blaszczyk's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Damian Blaszczyk's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bob Sapp!
A very excited looking Bob Sapp rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
