Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Summer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dickey Rubinksky! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rubinksky moves away. Summer ducks under a wild hook from Rubinksky. Summer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Summer. Rubinksky fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Summer sprawls well initially but Rubinksky persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Summer is trying to maintain the position but Rubinksky is very close to passing his half guard. Summer is trying to get back to full guard. Summer is trying to maintain the position but Rubinksky is very close to passing his half guard. Rubinksky is looking to take a break and control but Summer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rubinksky tries to pass the half guard into mount. Summer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Summer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rubinksky is working away from the top position though.

Rubinksky forces his way into half guard. Rubinksky wants to control but Summer is keeping him busy. Summer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Summer is trying to control but can't.
Rubinksky is just content to waste time from the top position. Summer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Summer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubinksky wants to hold on but Summer pushes him away. Summer lands a nice shot to the head. Summer trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rubinksky gets back to half guard. Rubinksky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summer is working away from the top position though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rubinksky wants to improve his position but Summer is controlling well.
Summer is pressing down on Rubinksky's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rubinksky is holding on for now. Summer prevents Rubinksky from improving his position. Rubinksky is looking to control Summer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rubinksky avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summer missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rubinksky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rubinksky is holding on to half guard well. Summer controlling the pace. Summer prevents Rubinksky from improving his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rubinksky with a lazy takedown attempt and Summer counters with a nice body shot. Summer misses with a wild combination.
Rubinksky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Summer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rubinksky has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Summer closes the distance and pushes Rubinksky back into the cage. Summer is stalling here.

Andrew Summer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dickey Rubinksky. The referee is keeping an eye on Summer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Summer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rubinksky uses from the top position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Summer will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rubinksky fails with a takedown attempt. Rubinksky closes the distance and clinches up with Summer, looking for a takedown. Rubinksky pushes Summer against the cage but Summer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rubinksky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Summer counters with a one-two to the body. Andrew Summer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Summer tries to clinch up but Rubinksky circles away and keeps his distance. Rubinksky has his takedown stuffed and Summer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Summer was covering up waiting for the punch and Rubinksky finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rubinksky trying to control the position from guard on top but Summer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Summer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dickey Rubinksky has got the better of the ground game so far. Rubinksky won't allow Summer to sweep him here. Summer trying to keep a closed guard but Rubinksky is proving a slippery customer.
Rubinksky throws a strike but Summer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Summer trying to control but Rubinksky is working from the bottom.

Summer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rubinksky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Summer manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rubinksky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Summer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rubinksky somewhat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Summer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubinksky.

Summer stalls. Summer gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Rubinksky keeping moving, preventing Summer from controlling successfully. Andrew Summer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rubinksky will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rubinksky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Summer looks to land a combination but Rubinksky avoids it well. Rubinksky manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Summer on his heels. He'll look to pass Summer's guard now, I'm sure. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Summer is on top in guard.
Rubinksky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Summer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Summer thows a huge punch but Rubinksky dodges it nicely.
