These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst clinches up with St Pierre and pushes him back against the cage.
Hurst tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. St Pierre smiles and moves away.
St Pierre misses with an uppercut.
Nice takedown defense from St Pierre. No joy for Hurst on that attempt.
Horrible takedown by Hurst or perhaps it was just good defense by St Pierre which made him look bad.
George St Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Hurst.
St Pierre moves into range and clinches up with Hurst.
St Pierre manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
St Pierre lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Patrick Hurst has been cut.

St Pierre will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hurst up against the cage.
St Pierre blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

St Pierre with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
St Pierre has Hurst pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Hurst is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from St Pierre - that's hurt Hurst badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hurst is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hurst doesn't seem to be complaining.
