Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster has a takedown stuffed. Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Foster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Foster checks a leg kick nicely. Sanchez tries to clinch there but Foster circles away.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Foster moves away and Foster counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Foster gets to his feet - Sanchez follows without any prompting. The crowd cheers as Sanchez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Foster doesn't seem phased though. This has been an exciting period of action! Sanchez has a takedown stuffed. Tony Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Sanchez. Foster takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Foster throws a sloppy head kick and Sanchez moves out of range easily. Foster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster fails with a takedown attempt. Foster is looking to clinch. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Foster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Foster closes the distance and pushes Sanchez back into the cage. Sanchez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sanchez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sanchez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Foster looking to pass the guard. Foster is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foster trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tony Foster just wasn't active enough. Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sanchez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Foster to score an easy takedown into full guard. Foster stops Sanchez from standing up. Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it. Foster in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Foster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tony Foster just wasn't active enough. Foster is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Foster pushes him off. Foster misses with a wild body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Foster is defended easily by Sanchez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch. Sanchez moves to clinch but Foster breaks away and Foster counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sanchez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Foster is trying to control. Sanchez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Foster tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Foster is breathing heavily. Sanchez pushes Foster off looking to stand but Foster dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Foster dominated that round. That's time! Foster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Foster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Foster checks a leg kick nicely. Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Foster moves out of range easily. Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sanchez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Foster sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tony Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Sanchez. Sanchez throws a solid leg kick but Foster takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sanchez. Foster drives through with a takedown into Sanchez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Sanchez keeping full guard, as Foster tries to pass. Sanchez is breathing heavily.

No luck for Foster with that takedown attempt. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Foster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foster shoots in but no luck this time. Sanchez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Foster manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sanchez throws a wild body kick that Foster sees coming a mile off. Sanchez tries to clinch up but Foster circles away and keeps his distance. Foster shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Foster shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanchez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Foster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Good work by Foster as he checks the leg kick. Sanchez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Foster defends it nicely. Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Foster. Foster swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez. Sanchez jabs at Foster's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses. Foster shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Foster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sanchez fails to land with a series of punches.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Foster pushes him off. Sanchez darts in and clinches Foster up against the cage. Foster gets underhooks to prevent Sanchez's takedown attempt.

Foster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanchez. Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt and Foster counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sanchez's guard now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchez wants to get back to his feet but Foster is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Foster looking to pass the guard. Foster prevents Sanchez from getting back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tony Foster has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Foster tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Foster manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Foster moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tony Foster will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Foster as he jumps to the side. Sanchez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Foster! Foster tries to buck Sanchez off but he can't manage it. Foster is in all sorts of trouble here.
Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position. Foster sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Foster wants to control but Sanchez is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sanchez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Foster defending well though. Foster is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but Foster defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster is trying to get back to full guard. Sanchez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sanchez is taking a breather. Foster says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Sanchez works his foot free and advances to mount. Foster taking shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Sanchez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sanchez dominating with strikes here. Sanchez is working for a guillotine from mount but Foster frees his head quite easily.
Sanchez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Foster turns into him and now he's in Sanchez's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sanchez keeping full guard, as Foster tries to pass. Foster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanchez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Sanchez lands a right hand. A head punch blocked on the inside by Sanchez. Sanchez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Foster regains guard immediately. Sanchez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sanchez advances position into side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Foster is trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Foster has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
