Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donny Love (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rua Degas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donny Love! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rua Degas! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.

Love throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Degas's waist but Degas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Love off to one side. Degas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Love holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Love keeps control of Degas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Degas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Love has him pressed against the cage. Degas wants a takedown but no success here.
Love manages to break the clinch.
Degas tries a low kick but Love avoids it.
Love closes the distance and clinches.
Love jumps into guard, dragging Degas to the mat.
Love wants to get back to his feet but Degas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Love kicks Degas off and gets to his feet. Degas looks gassed! No joy there for Degas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Degas misses with a double jab
and Love counters by moving into the clinch.

Love jumps guard.
Love controlling the position. Degas postures up.
Love will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Degas won't allow Love to sweep him here. Degas prevents Love from getting back to his feet. Love looking to control.
Love seems keen to control Degas's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Degas trying to control the position from guard on top but Love is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

so Degas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Love. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Degas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Degas working Love over with strikes. Love tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Degas slips a nice elbow through Love's hands, connecting with Love's forehead. Love pushes Degas off but Degas dives into side control.
Love is trying to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Love wants to get back to his feet. You can see the frustration on Love's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Love tries to buck Degas off but Degas is having none of it.

and Love moves into the clinch. Love tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Degas just stands there and leans against the cage. Love changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Degas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Degas fails to land with a series of punches.
A solid body kick from Love. Love shoots in and drives through. Degas sprawls well. Rua Degas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Degas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Degas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Degas gets the takedown into side control.
Degas decides to stand back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Love throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Love misses with a takedown attempt
and Degas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Degas is thwarting Love's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rua Degas dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Love misses with the combination.
Love avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Love is looking to clinch but Degas is avoiding it.
Love throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Degas's waist but Degas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Love off to one side. Degas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Love counters with a flying knee. Nice. Love takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Love throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Rua Degas has been cut. Degas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Love counters with a big head kick but Degas shrugs it off. Love scores with a punch to the head. Love has a takedown stuffed.
Love bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Love thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Love decides to stand back up. Love steps back and let's Degas get back to his feet.

Donny Love is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Love fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Love. That's going to take a lot out of him. Love shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Degas as he avoids it easily. Love throws a head kick but Degas moves out of range.
Degas wants to clinch up but Love keeps it at a distance. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Degas. Love doesn't manage to clinch there - Degas circles away.
Love lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Degas throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Love to counter with a crisp jab. Nice uppercut lands for Degas. That snapped Love's head back.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Love.
Love closes the distance and clinches. Love lands a nice elbow.

Love jumps guard but Degas stands there with Love around his waist. Love gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Degas keeps control of Love as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Love breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Degas looks to land a combination. Love sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Love closes the distance and clinches up with Degas, looking for a takedown. Love pushes Degas against the cage but Degas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Degas darts in trying to clinch
and Love counters with a single leg into guard. Degas didn't expect that.
Degas pushes Love off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Degas is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Love hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rua Degas!
