Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalesh Nikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Phife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nikov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Go hard or go home. Phife has chosen Hello Zepp - Charlie Clouser as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Phife cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Kalesh Nikov has been cut.
Nice cross by Nikov.
Phife misses with a leg kick.
Phife misses with a looping right.
Phife keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nikov.
Phife moves out of range as Nikov strikes.
Phife lands with an uppercut that bounces Nikov off the cage and back into range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Phife misses with a looping right.
Nikov thows a body shot but no joy.
Phife looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Phife circles away from the clinch attempt.
Phife moves away from the strike by Nikov.
Nice defenses there by Phife.
Nikov tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Phife defending well as Nikov loads up on a big left hand.
Phife tries to work over Nikov's front leg with a kick but Nikov checks it.
Phife looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nikov throws a hook to the side of Phife's head but Phife sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nikov misses with a straight right.
Phife is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nikov.
Phife takes a swing at Nikov's ribcage but misses.
Phife connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nikov momentarily.
Phife lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Nikov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Phife dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barney Phife!
A very excited looking Barney Phife rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
