Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Whales! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rook looks to throw the jab but Whales is out of range. Rook moves to clinch but Whales breaks away and Whales counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rook seems keen to control Whales's posture. Whales in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Whales stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rook swivels though and keeps the full guard. Whales is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rook working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Whales throwing strikes but missing. Whales looking to pass the guard. Rook seems keen to control Whales's posture. Rook on his back here. Rook throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Whales blocks it with crossed arms. Whales is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rook pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bowman Rook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Whales. Rook swings wildly with an uppercut but Whales uses good head movement to avoid it. Rook blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whales tries for a takedown but Rook manages to get underhooks.

Rook is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Whales is defending well for now. Whales doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rook lands with a short head shot on the inside. Whales avoids a wild elbow strike from Rook. Whales has Rook pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rook manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Whales on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Bowman Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Whales is breathing heavily. Rook scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bowman Rook is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rook tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Whales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Whales circles away from the clinch attempt.
Whales cracks Rook with an open hand slap. Rook closes the distance and pushes Whales back into the cage. Rook just leaning against Whales, taking a breather. Whales softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Whales is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rook is defending well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rook with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rook misses with a knee to the head. Whales blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Whales takes an elbow to the temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rook just misses with a elbow thrown towards Whales's brow.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Whales creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Whales takes a knee right on the jaw!

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bowman Rook! A very excited looking Bowman Rook rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
