Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kesuke Miyagi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Sanders! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyagi tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it. Miyagi looks to land a body kick but Sanders moved away. Miyagi clinches up with Sanders and pushes him back against the cage. Miyagi is pushing Sanders up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Sanders tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miyagi just stands there and leans against the cage. That's one minute gone in the round. Miyagi is defending well against a takedown attempt. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Miyagi unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sanders fails to pull guard.
Kesuke Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Sanders. Miyagi landing knees to the body.
Sanders is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Miyagi taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kesuke Miyagi. Miyagi has managed to clinch.

Sanders drops down looking for an ankle pick but Miyagi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Miyagi tries to clinch enabling Sanders to counter with a crisp jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miyagi tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanders swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanders on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Miyagi, right into the meat.
Miyagi walks into a stiff left hand from Sanders. Miyagi drives through and clinches with Sanders against the cage.
Miyagi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sanders is defending well for now. Sanders blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Miyagi is stalling here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miyagi is stalling here.
Miyagi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Both guys are working to get underhooks. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kesuke Miyagi. Miyagi throws a nice outside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanders avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miyagi connects with a solid leg kick. Miyagi lands a leg kick that knocks Sanders off balance momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kesuke Miyagi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Miyagi counters with a good low kick that Sanders was not able to check. Miyagi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanders. Miyagi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sanders fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Miyagi avoids it really well and circles away. That kick from Miyagi tenderised Sanders's leg. Sanders is trying to keep his angry face on. Miyagi lands a leg kick that knocks Sanders off balance momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slow jab from Sanders misses its intended target. Miyagi tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it. Sanders takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Miyagi tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it. Miyagi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Miyagi scores with a head kick. Sanders tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Sanders checks a low kick from Miyagi. Sanders misses with an uppercut. Miyagi saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanders looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miyagi lands a big head kick that sends Sanders tumbling to the mat! Miyagi takes a step backwards and waves Sanders back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Sanders is rocked!
It looks like Michael Sanders has been cut. Kesuke Miyagi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miyagi has closed the distance and engaged Sanders in a clinch.
Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Miyagi finish him? Sanders takes a knee to the side of the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Miyagi obliges. Miyagi connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sanders's face.
Miyagi has Sanders pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Sanders is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Miyagi - that's hurt Sanders badly! Oh, another knee lands and Sanders is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Sanders doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Kesuke Miyagi! Kesuke Miyagi retains his bantamweight title! Kesuke Miyagi thanked the fans post fight for their support.
