Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Calzaghe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juri Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calzaghe comes to the cage accompanied by The Pride of Wales. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzaghe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Han under the eye.
Calzaghe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Han fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calzaghe manages to avoid it.

Han tries to bum rush Calzaghe with a series of wild strikes but Calzaghe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Han throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Calzaghe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Calzaghe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Han.

Han misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Calzaghe.
Calzaghe digs a good body shot into Han's ribs.
Calzaghe punishes Han's body with a nice straight punch.

and Han counters with a good, hard body kick but Calzaghe shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Calzaghe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Han on the side of the head.

Calzaghe defending well as Han loads up on a big left hand.
Han takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Juri Han seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Han looks to land a right hand but Calzaghe moved out of range.
Calzaghe blocks a jab.
Calzaghe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Han moves away.
Han lands with a thumping leg kick.
Calzaghe just misses with a punch to the body.

Han has taken the fight to the clinch.
Han breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Han misses with a looping left.
Calzaghe is looking to wear down Han with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Calzaghe moves away from the strike by Han.

Han looks to land a body kick but Calzaghe moved away.
Han misses with a hook
and Calzaghe counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Calzaghe checks a low kick from Han.
Han takes a jab right on the kisser.
Calzaghe cracks Han with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Han misses the jab.
Han throws a poor cross that misses
and Calzaghe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Han needs to keep his hands up - Calzaghe had a free shot at his head there.
Han takes a swing at Calzaghe's ribcage but misses.
Calzaghe thows a body shot but no joy.
Calzaghe is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Calzaghe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Han stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Han.
Han swings for the body but Calzaghe moves out of range.
Han scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Calzaghe doesn't seem bothered though.
Han throws a lazy right hand but Calzaghe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Calzaghe connects with a body shot that sends Han's belly button to the back.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Calzaghe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juri Han will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Calzaghe misses with a straight right.
Calzaghe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Han plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A left lands for Calzaghe.
Han misses with a head kick.
Calzaghe scores with the left hand. Han knows he should have avoided that one.
Calzaghe misses with a hook to the body
and Han counters with a good low kick that Calzaghe was not able to check.
Han misses with a straight left.
Han throws a head kick but Calzaghe moves out of range.
Han uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Calzaghe.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Calzaghe! Han is backing up but he can't get away as Calzaghe lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Han and ends the fight. Great knockout.
