Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Grisham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber comes into the arena with California Love blaring out of the sound system. John Grisham struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Grisham!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grisham doesn't manage to clinch there - Faber circles away.
Grisham is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grisham looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Grisham tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Faber avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Grisham.

Faber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Faber closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Grisham to the mat! Grisham manages to get full guard.

Faber is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Grisham is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Grisham has escaped and now he's on top!

John Grisham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

John Grisham is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grisham closes the distance and clinches up with Faber, looking for a takedown. Grisham pushes Faber against the ropes but Faber circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

John Grisham comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grisham has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
