Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Galt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galt's entrance music is State of the Union by Rise Against. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Galt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Williams!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to move into range but Galt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Bob Williams has been cut.
Galt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Galt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Williams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Williams jumps guard and drags Galt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Galt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Galt postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Williams has control of Galt's left arm, preventing Galt from doing any damage.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck.
Williams controls Galt momentarily but Galt frees himself.
Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet.
Galt postures up.
Williams manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Galt manages to get himself to full guard.
Galt working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Galt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Williams fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams tries for a takedown but Galt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Galt lands a jab to Williams's midsection.

Williams clinches up with Galt and pushes him back against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Galt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Galt just misses with a elbow thrown towards Williams's brow.
Galt lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Galt lands a nice knee to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice right hand lands inside from Galt.
Galt is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Williams is keeping busy.

Galt manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Galt.


That has opened up Bob Williams's cut even more.
Williams dives in and grabs Galt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Galt pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.
John Galt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Williams.

Williams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Galt looking to throw knees to the head but Williams is blocking nicely.
Galt is pressed up against the cage. Williams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Galt down to the mat. Galt avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Galt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams.
A big left from Galt misses.
Galt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams.

Williams moves into the clinch.
Williams fails to pull guard.
Williams jumps guard but Galt stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Galt tries a knee to the head but Williams blocks it.
Williams tries to pull guard but Galt holds him up against the cage and eventually Williams drops back down to his feet.
Galt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Williams has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Galt working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Williams can't get the takedown.
Williams is trying to pull guard but Galt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Williams has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Galt after a bit of a struggle.
Williams looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Galt is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Williams is keeping busy.
Galt is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Galt lands a damaging elbow.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Galt.

Galt breaks the clinch.
Galt feints and then cracks Williams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Williams down.
Galt lands with an uppercut that bounces Williams off the cage and back into range.


The cut above Bob Williams's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Galt.
Williams is trying hard to land a takedown here. Galt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Galt tests Williams's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Bob Williams's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Galt lands with a straight right. Williams didn't see that one coming.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Williams's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Galt!
