The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Washington connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Machado scrambles back to his feet.
Washington tries to clinch up.
Machado walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Washington waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Machado.
Machado drops his hands momentarily and Washington takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Washington throws a shot to the body.
Washington cracks Machado with an open hand slap.
Washington uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machado.
Washington throws a pinpoint strike between Machado's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Machado crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Washington scores a great knockout victory!
