Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Obed Flying Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Takai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flying Fox works the jab nicely.
Takai is looking to clinch.
Takai shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Flying Fox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Flying Fox throws a head kick but Takai moves out of range.

Takai gets caught napping as Flying Fox dives in and scores a takedown. Takai manages to retain guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Flying Fox's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flying Fox connects with a nice short shot to Takai's temple.

Flying Fox looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Takai is trying to control but can't.

Flying Fox lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Flying Fox is nestled in close to Takai, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Takai seems to have recovered his senses.

Takai has hold of one of Flying Fox's legs. Flying Fox is fighting the takedown attempt but Takai gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
