Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jenson Rawlins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flo Wer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wer has chosen My Sweet Lord by George Harrison as his entrance music. Flo Wer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jenson Rawlins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Flo Wer!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawlins tries for a takedown but Wer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wer throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rawlins avoids a kick to the body.
Wer is looking to land body kicks.

Rawlins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Rawlins is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Rawlins is working for a submission of some sort.
Wer works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rawlins stopping the sweep attempt from Wer.

Wer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rawlins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wer's head.
Rawlins wants to control from the top but Wer keeps moving.

Rawlins drops back looking for a leg! Wer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wer manages to kick Rawlins off! Rawlins jumps back into Wer's guard.
Rawlins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wer keeping moving, preventing Rawlins from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wer controlling Rawlins's posture.

We're going to have a standup here because Jenson Rawlins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rawlins shoots in and drives through. Wer sprawls well.
Wer throws a low kick but Rawlins moves out of range easily.
Wer scores with a jab to the jaw.
Wer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jenson Rawlins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rawlins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rawlins somewhat.
Wer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Wer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rawlins is looking to slow Wer down with leg kicks.
Wer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Wer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rawlins.
Rawlins tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wer is able to avoid easily.
Flo Wer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rawlins was well out of range. Poor timing from Wer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wer throws a jab but it's blocked by Rawlins.
Wer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rawlins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wer defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Flo Wer will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rawlins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Rawlins is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wer is surviving well by controlling Rawlins's body position as best he can.

Rawlins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wer is refusing to be controlled, as Rawlins sits in half guard.

Wer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rawlins is squirming around, avoiding Wer's attempts to control the action.
Rawlins tries to reverse the position but Wer maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rawlins's face.

Rawlins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rawlins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rawlins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rawlins manages to get himself to full guard.
Jenson Rawlins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rawlins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wer's back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jenson Rawlins.
I think Wer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
