Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Hathaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Shin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jamie Hathaway has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jamie Hathaway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcus Shin! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hathaway ducks under a wild hook from Shin. Shin misses with a looping left. Shin misses the body punch and Hathaway counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Shin is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hathaway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shin looks to throw the jab but Hathaway is out of range. Hathaway closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shin tries to break free but Hathaway pushes him back against the cage. Shin breaks the clinch.
Hathaway darts in trying to clinch and Shin counters with a series of strikes. Hathaway will be more careful next time no doubt. Hathaway throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Marcus Shin has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Hathaway shoots in but Shin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hathaway shoots and misses and Shin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Shin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hathaway is looking to sweep but instead, Shin has passed into half guard.
Hathaway actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shin connects with a nice short shot to Hathaway's temple. Shin content to control rather than advance. Shin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shin controlling the action here. Hathaway is looking to control Shin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hathaway avoid being mounted? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hathaway is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shin scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin not doing much here.
Hathaway has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Shin escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Shin! Shin working the ground and pound from side control. Shin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hathaway tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Shin presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hathaway tries to hold on but Shin pushes him away. Shin looking to control and managing it successfully. Let's hope that Shin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Shin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marcus Shin's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hathaway tries to clinch up and Shin counters with a stiff right hand. Hathaway tries to clinch but Shin moves away and Shin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Shin lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hathaway has an active guard here but Shin has managed to pass into half guard.
Hathaway looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hathaway wants to control but Shin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shin stalling. Shin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Marcus Shin has got the better of the ground game so far.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcus Shin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hathaway moves to clinch but Shin breaks away and Shin counters with a takedown into side control. Shin trying to control the position but Hathaway is working away. Hathaway prevents Shin from improving position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hathaway knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Shin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hathaway trying to remain calm as Shin controls from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hathaway tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Shin trying to control the position but Hathaway is working away. Shin looks up at the clock and then as Hathaway takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Shin controls the position from side control. Hathaway gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hathaway hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Shin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marcus Shin's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Hathaway pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hathaway. Hathaway slips a straight right by Shin. Shin keeps the fight on the outside. No luck for Shin with that takedown attempt. Hathaway is looking to clinch but Shin is avoiding it.
Hathaway tries to clinch up. Hathaway displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shin throws out the jab. Shin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hathaway shoots in for a takedown but Shin shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Hathaway looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shin misses with the combination.
Shin misses the shot to the body. Hathaway tries to clinch up but Shin circles away and keeps his distance. Shin misses with a looping right. Hathaway avoids the body shot from Shin.
Hathaway throws a head kick but Shin moves out of range.
Hathaway moves to clinch but Shin breaks away and Shin counters with a shoot takedown. Hathaway fights it but they end up in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hathaway looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hathaway is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Shin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hathaway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shin is working Hathaway over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hathaway keeping moving, preventing Shin from controlling successfully. Shin sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shin wants to pass the guard but Hathaway is keeping the position. Hathaway working for a triangle but Shin defends it easily.
Shin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jamie Hathaway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marcus Shin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Shin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Shin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
