The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin pushes Volkano up against the ropes in a clinch.
Volkano can't find room to land a body shot as Lin controls the action.
Lin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Volkano prevents a body shot from Lin.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Volkano scores with a nice short uppercut.

Lin scores with a one two! Volkano had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A slapping body kick lands there for Lin.
Lin rushes Volkano and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Volkano gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Volkano postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Volkano is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Volkano is looking to work some ground and pound but Lin has wrist control.
Lin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A slapping leg kick lands for Lin.
Lin throws a sloppy body shot
and Volkano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Lin throws a combination that misses
and Volkano makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Volkano shoots for a double leg takedown but Lin sprawls well. He's pushed Volkano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Volkano slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That has opened up Frank Lin's cut even more.
Lin swings for the body but Volkano moves out of range.
Lin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Volkano counters with a slapping leg kick.
Volkano closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Volkano is nestled in close to Lin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Volkano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lin keeps working.
Volkano looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lin tries to kick Volkano off but Volkano keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Volkano wants to take a breather but Lin is having none of it.
Volkano stops Lin from getting back to his feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Volkano.
Lin is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Volkano throws a shot to the body.
Volkano ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Volkano ducks under a wild hook from Lin.
Volkano cracks Lin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Volkano finish him?
Lin is rocked!
Volkano is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Lin flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lin is out cold! Volkano holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
