Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Franco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Trager!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco misses the shot to the body.
A jab from Trager does it's job there.
Trager tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Franco swivels and escapes.
Trager is looking to clinch.
Trager tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Trager uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Franco.
Trager shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Franco defends it nicely.

Franco gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Franco misses with some punches.
Trager is trying to pull guard but Franco has him pressed against the cage.
James Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Trager.
Trager will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Franco up against the cage.

Trager is fighting off a takedown attempt but Franco is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Trager to the mat. Trager regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Trager looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Franco gets to his feet. Trager looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Franco fails in his attempt to clinch.
Trager looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Franco tries to clinch there but Trager circles away.
Franco misses with a hook. Trager ducked under it nicely.
Trager checks a leg kick.
Franco throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Trager counters by moving into the clinch.
Franco is trying to pull guard but Trager has him pressed against the cage.

Franco pulls guard effortlessly.
Franco keeping full guard, as Trager tries to pass.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Trager is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Trager has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Franco is proving hard to escape from.
Franco looking for a sweep. Not yet Franco, not yet.
Franco wants to stand but Trager is controlling the position.

Franco pushes a forearm under Trager's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Trager is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
