The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Grundy misses with a body kick.
Smith moves out of range of the body kick from Grundy.
A head kick misses from Grundy.
Grundy has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smith.
Grundy lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Dan Smith has been cut.
Smith tries to throw a body punch but Grundy avoids it by throwing Smith back against the cage.
Grundy blocks a body shot from Smith.
Smith struggles to land a body shot inside as Grundy controls his hands.
Smith blocks an elbow strike.
Grundy lands a nice elbow.
Smith lands with a right to the head.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Grundy's elbow.
Smith can't find room to land a body shot as Grundy controls the action.
Grundy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Grundy just leaning against Smith, taking a breather.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Grundy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smith's efforts to push away.
Grundy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That has opened up Dan Smith's cut even more.
Grundy lands a damaging elbow.
Smith breaks the clinch.
Grundy throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Benjamin Grundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dan Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Grundy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
