The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roberts's waist but Roberts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coleman off to one side.
Coleman takes a jab right on the kisser.

Coleman tries to keep at a distance but Roberts has taken the fight into the clinch.
Coleman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Roberts is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Roberts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coleman's guard.

Coleman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Roberts on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roberts tries to get out of the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roberts circles away.
Roberts looks to score with a jab to the body but Coleman is just out of range.
Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Roberts tries to sprawl out of it but Coleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roberts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Coleman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Roberts throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roberts scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Coleman is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Roberts can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
