Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepego lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lucas circles away quickly and effectively.
Tepego closes the distance and clinches.
Tepego scores with a knee to the head.
Tepego lands a nice knee to the body.
Lucas can't find room to land a body shot as Tepego controls the action.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Tepego landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Lucas has had enough of the clinch but Tepego keeps him there for the moment.
Tepego prevents a takedown attempt there.
Lucas misses with a punch to the body.
Tepego unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lucas lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Tepego lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Lucas goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Tepego in side control.
It looks like Matheus Lucas has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lucas is trying to escape the position but Tepego is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucas takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Lucas takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Lucas is rocked!
Tepego scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lucas is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Tepego can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aiceu Tepego!
