Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mt Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Run this Town. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mt Spar! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spar checks a leg kick nicely. Spar motions for Carter to come forward. Spar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Carter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Carter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spar, pushing him back against the cage. Carter is pushing Spar up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Spar thows a leg kick but Carter checks it and Carter counters with a nice low kick that buckles Spar's knee momentarily. Carter scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Spar doesn't seem bothered though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar walks forward, straight into a front kick from Carter. Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spar, pushing him back against the cage. Carter avoids a wild elbow strike from Spar. Spar tries to land a knee to the head but Carter blocks with his arms.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Carter. A right handed body shot lands from Carter.
Spar looks gassed! A hook to the body from Carter.

Carter lands with a short shot to the head. Carter digs a right hand underneath Spar's ribcage. Spar let out a lung full of air as it connected. Carter lands with a short shot to the head. Carter landing some nice looking knees to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Carter.
This has been an exciting period of action! Carter breaks from the clinch.
Carter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Spar's guard. Carter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Spar for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter advances to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shawn Carter wasn't doing enough on the ground. Carter lands with a nice body kick. Carter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Spar. Carter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Spar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Carter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Carter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A thudding body kick lands there by Carter!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Carter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Spar. That did some damage! Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Spar being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter works over Spar with some ground and pound from guard. Spar has momentary wrist control but Carter slips an elbow through the middle. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Carter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Spar's head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Carter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Carter is looking to work some ground and pound but Spar has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Carter dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Carter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Carter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Spar can do to turn this around? Carter misses with a low kick.
Carter swings for the body but Spar moves out of range.
Spar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Carter lands a high kick!
Spar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Spar thows a leg kick but Carter checks it enabling Carter to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter throws a nice outside leg kick. Carter blocks a low kick nicely. A good leg kick by Carter. Spar is breathing heavily. Spar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Spar throws a low kick but Carter avoids it. Carter connects with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Carter has Spar up against the cage in a clinch.

Carter lands an elbow just above Spar 's eye. Spar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carter has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Carter lands a nice shot to the body. Carter makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Carter breaks from the clinch.
A low kick from Spar misses and Carter counters with a slapping leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carter. Carter obviously looking to wear him down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carter controlling from the full mount. Carter putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Shawn Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carter landing strikes, looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter lands with some strikes. Carter lands with some strikes.
Spar is rocked! Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Spar in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Spar is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him? Carter lands a heavy elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spar takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Carter's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
