Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Voss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Bamboni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bamboni's choice of entrance music: Ice Ice Baby. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Voss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Bamboni! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bamboni throws a nice outside leg kick. Bamboni slaps away a takedown attempt from Voss, before circling back to the center of the mat. Voss tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bamboni wants to clinch. Bamboni stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bamboni wants it to stay on the feet. Voss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bamboni swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Voss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Voss looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bamboni lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bamboni leaves Voss with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Voss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bamboni as he avoids it easily. Voss throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bamboni's waist but Bamboni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voss off to one side. Bamboni shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Voss eats them both and turns towards Bamboni to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Bamboni throws a right and a left that Voss avoids nicely. Bamboni closes the distance and clinches. Bamboni leaning his opponent against the cage. Voss is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Voss gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bamboni trying to keep a closed guard but Voss is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voss looking to pass the guard. Bamboni is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Voss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Voss trying to control the position from guard on top but Bamboni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Voss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bamboni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Voss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Voss stopping the sweep attempt from Bamboni. Voss with a flurry of punches that miss. Bamboni is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bamboni seems keen to control Voss's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Voss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bamboni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Voss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bamboni trying to keep a closed guard but Voss is proving a slippery customer.
Voss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bamboni is pulling down on Voss's head to control his posture. Voss gets to his feet. Bamboni looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bamboni slaps away a takedown attempt from Voss, before circling back to the center of the mat. Voss shoots in looking for a takedown but Bamboni manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Voss's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bamboni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Voss fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Voss with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Bamboni moves into the clinch. Voss being controlled against the cage. Voss has clasped his hands together around Bamboni's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Voss trying to control the position but Bamboni is working away. Voss in the domination position with Bamboni hanging on. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Bamboni dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bamboni, right into the meat.
Bamboni tries to close the distance and clinch but Voss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bamboni looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bamboni tries to sprawl but Voss drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bamboni tries to roll over but Voss keeps him under control. Bamboni wants to get back to his feet. Voss thows a huge punch but Bamboni dodges it nicely.
Voss is keen to just control but Bamboni is a slippery customer. Bamboni is doing well to control the position and prevent Voss from advancing to side control. Bamboni is staying active underneath Voss, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voss throwing shots but Bamboni is blocking nicely. Voss is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bamboni sees it coming and defends easily. Voss is working for a kimura but Bamboni is defending it quite comfortably.
Voss looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Alex Voss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Voss is thwarting Bamboni's attempts to control the position. Bamboni is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Voss is staying active. Voss is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bamboni is refusing to be controlled, as Voss sits in half guard. Voss thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voss wants to control but Bamboni is keeping him busy. Voss is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bamboni keeping hold of Voss's head, controlling as best he can. Voss wants to free his trapped foot but Bamboni is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bamboni is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Voss is keen to just control but Bamboni is a slippery customer. Bamboni looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Voss drops an elbow to the side of Bamboni's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bamboni is defending against the submission attempts here by Voss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bamboni is trying to maintain the position but Voss is very close to passing his half guard. Bamboni keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Voss is pressing down on Bamboni's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bamboni is holding on for now. Voss thows a huge punch but Bamboni dodges it nicely.
Voss is looking for a kimura but Bamboni is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Voss to get the leverage. Bamboni is trying to maintain the position but Voss is very close to passing his half guard. Voss missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bamboni holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Voss takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Voss is trying to control the action in half guard but Bamboni is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bamboni trying to control but Voss postures up.
Voss is working for a kimura but Bamboni is defending it quite comfortably.
Bamboni slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Voss pushes down on Bamboni's leg and manages to get into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bamboni wants to control but Voss is keeping busy.

Voss is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Voss has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Bamboni throws a series of punches but Voss moves out of range. Voss takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Voss on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Bamboni closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bamboni gets underhooks to prevent Voss's takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bamboni utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Bamboni displaying some good clinch control by pressing Voss up against the cage. Bamboni misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Voss.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bamboni seems keen to control Voss's posture. Voss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Voss throws a big elbow that misses. Bamboni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Voss's guard. Bamboni tries to stand but Voss is controlling from the bottom. Bamboni is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Voss has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bamboni is looking to defend but Voss has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bamboni! Voss pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bamboni taps out and this one is all over!
