The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from ahr. No joy for Brand on that attempt.
Brand fails in his attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from ahr.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brand looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brand bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of ahr's head.
Oooh a lovely combination from Brand sends ahr down but not out. Brand dives into side control looking to finish.
ahr is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ahr is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Brand scoring with punches and elbows.
Brand tries to move into full mount but can't pass ahr's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ahr is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brand is controlling him well.
Brand looking to punish the body of his opponent here but ahr is avoiding damage well.
ahr is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
ahr keeps the fight on the outside.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Brand and ahr goes tumbling to the canvas! Brand follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
ahr is still in real trouble! Can Brand finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brand has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can ahr defend it? Brand steps over the head and cranks it - ahr is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Brand!
