Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Con Waterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Trainer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waterson comes to the cage accompanied by Oasis - Roll With It. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Con Waterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Trainer! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waterson looks to score with a jab to the body but Trainer is just out of range. Trainer ducks under a wild hook from Waterson. Trainer misses with a hook
and Waterson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Waterson ducks under a wild hook from Trainer. Waterson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Waterson throws an overhand right that lands on Trainer's shoulder, as Trainer tries to avoid the shot. Trainer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Trainer misses with a shot to the body and Waterson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Trainer thinking. Trainer connects with a crisp jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Waterson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trainer closes the distance and clinches up with Waterson, looking for a takedown. Trainer pushes Waterson against the cage but Waterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Waterson thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. Waterson thows a left - swing and a miss! Trainer throws a looping overhand right but Waterson ducks down to avoid it. Trainer throws a big shot that misses. Con Waterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trainer cracks a nice hook into Waterson's ribs. Waterson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Trainer dives in and scores a takedown into Waterson's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trainer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Trainer looking to pass the guard. Trainer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Trainer with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trainer trying to control the position from guard on top but Waterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trainer slips nicely into half guard. Trainer trying to mount his opponent but Waterson defends it. Trainer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Trainer throwing shots but Waterson is blocking nicely. Trainer prevents Waterson from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waterson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Trainer. Trainer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waterson keeps working. Trainer works his foot free and advances to mount. Trainer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Trainer throwing strikes here but Waterson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Trainer throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trainer controlling from the full mount. Waterson is in a horrible position here. Trainer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Trainer controlling the pace for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trainer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Waterson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trainer unloads with some shots from mount but Waterson bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Trainer dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Waterson lands with a right hand. Trainer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Trainer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Waterson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Trainer but great work by Waterson. Waterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Trainer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Waterson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trainer on the ground. Trainer is not content to let Waterson control the position. Waterson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trainer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Waterson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Trainer is looking for a sweep. Trainer seems a little lost for a moment, as Waterson dominates the positioning. Ray Trainer has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Trainer is looking for a sweep. Trainer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trainer is not content to let Waterson control the position. Waterson is really struggling to control Trainer but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Con Waterson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Trainer thows a body shot but no joy. Waterson is looking to clinch. Trainer throws a body punch but Waterson moves out of range. Con Waterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Trainer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trainer ducks under a wild hook from Waterson. Waterson jabs Trainer to the body, keeping him at a distance. Trainer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A big left from Waterson misses. Trainer throws a lazy right hand but Waterson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Trainer misses with an uppercut. Waterson saw that one coming. Waterson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Trainer throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waterson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Trainer. Trainer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Waterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Trainer. Con Waterson is winning the standup battle so far. Trainer misses the jab. Waterson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Trainer on the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Waterson lands with an overhand left. Trainer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trainer takes a swing at Waterson's ribcage but misses. Waterson thuds a left hand into Trainer's body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Con Waterson dominated that second round. That's time! Waterson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

and Trainer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Waterson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Waterson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Waterson drives through and clinches with Trainer against the cage.
Waterson gets through Trainer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Trainer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Waterson pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Trainer misses with a shot to the body and Waterson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Trainer thinking. Trainer lands a jab to Waterson's midsection. Waterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trainer manages to avoid it. Trainer shoots in for a takedown but Waterson shows good takedown defense. Trainer thows a left - swing and a miss! Waterson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Waterson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Trainer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waterson.
Trainer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Waterson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Trainer blocks an uppercut.
Waterson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Trainer backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Trainer is looking for a takedown. Con Waterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Trainer. Waterson slows down the pace here.
Waterson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Trainer goes for a takedown attempt but Waterson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Waterson cracks Trainer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Waterson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Waterson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A slow jab from Waterson misses its intended target. Trainer misses the shot to the body. Waterson staying out of range there. Trainer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Waterson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Trainer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Waterson tries to clinch up. Waterson misses with a kick to the body.
Trainer gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waterson works Trainer's body with a nice hook. Waterson slips a jab from Trainer. Trainer scores with a crisp jab that stopped Waterson in his tracks. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trainer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Waterson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Trainer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trainer postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trainer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waterson is controlling Trainer's posture.
And that's the end of the fight! Con Waterson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Waterson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
