Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donald Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ackmed Giovani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross comes to the cage accompanied by Exhibit C. Ackmed Giovani has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cross slips a jab and a cross from Giovani.
Cross tries to score a power double leg takedown but Giovani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cross somewhat.
Giovani is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cross's half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Giovani can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cross is looking to take a break and control but Giovani is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Giovani. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Cross stalling away here and it's allowed Giovani to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Cross stands and throws Giovani's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Giovani bucks up and tries to throw Cross off but instead Cross has got his back!
Giovani defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cross's arms.
Giovani is trying to get back to his feet but Cross has full control of the position and if anything, Giovani has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Giovani paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Cross - great work!

A relieved looking Donald Cross thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
