Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bapit Pradchapet!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Pradchapet.
James dives in and grabs Pradchapet's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pradchapet pushes down on James's head and hops out.
Pradchapet tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
James misses with a left hand
and Pradchapet counters with an outside leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pradchapet.
Pradchapet digs a good hook to James's body.
James will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

James shoots in for a double leg but Pradchapet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

James defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pradchapet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pradchapet wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Pradchapet lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for James!

Bapit Pradchapet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
