Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Yoshimitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kotaro Fuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Yoshimitsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Fuma! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuma slaps away a takedown attempt from Yoshimitsu, before circling back to the center of the mat. Yoshimitsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fuma makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Yoshimitsu really felt that one! Ryo Yoshimitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yoshimitsu is looking to clinch but Fuma is avoiding it.
Yoshimitsu shoots and misses and Fuma counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yoshimitsu won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Yoshimitsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yoshimitsu is breathing heavily. Yoshimitsu tries to get back to half guard but can't. Yoshimitsu is not content to let Fuma control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshimitsu struggling a bit here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kotaro Fuma was stalling too much, according to the referee. Fuma bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Yoshimitsu's head backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fuma looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Yoshimitsu! Fuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshimitsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yoshimitsu is working to get back to half guard.
Yoshimitsu is working hard here to advance position. Fuma wants to control the pace but Yoshimitsu is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fuma trying to control but Yoshimitsu is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kotaro Fuma was stalling too much, according to the referee. Yoshimitsu clinches with his opponent.
Fuma breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yoshimitsu is looking to clinch but Fuma is avoiding it.
Yoshimitsu misses with a takedown attempt and Yoshimitsu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yoshimitsu rushes Fuma and presses him up against the cage. Yoshimitsu jumps guard but Fuma turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kotaro Fuma dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fuma dives in and scores a takedown into Yoshimitsu's guard. Yoshimitsu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fuma is one step ahead there. Yoshimitsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yoshimitsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Yoshimitsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fuma counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Yoshimitsu! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshimitsu is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Yoshimitsu is looking to improve his position but Fuma isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fuma takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Yoshimitsu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Fuma can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yoshimitsu is looking to escape.

Kotaro Fuma has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Yoshimitsu has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Yoshimitsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fuma lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yoshimitsu fails with the takedown and Fuma counters with a good, hard body kick but Yoshimitsu shrugs it off. Yoshimitsu tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fuma fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Yoshimitsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fuma counters with a big head kick but Yoshimitsu shrugs it off. Yoshimitsu misses with a takedown and Fuma finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Yoshimitsu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fuma but Fuma pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fuma closes the distance and clinches. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yoshimitsu wants a takedown.

Kotaro Fuma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Fuma drives through with a takedown into guard. Fuma wants to pass the guard but Yoshimitsu is keeping the position. Yoshimitsu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryo Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu with a lazy takedown attempt and Fuma counters with a three punch combo that has Yoshimitsu backing up. Yoshimitsu nods at Fuma to acknowledge the strikes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu misses with a takedown and Yoshimitsu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Yoshimitsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Yoshimitsu stands up over Fuma, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Yoshimitsu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fuma's head. Yoshimitsu throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuma is trying to control the position but Yoshimitsu postures up. Yoshimitsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fuma swivels though and keeps the full guard. Yoshimitsu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yoshimitsu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yoshimitsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Fuma is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yoshimitsu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Yoshimitsu shoots in looking for a takedown. Fuma tries to sprawl out of it but Yoshimitsu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fuma manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fuma drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuma wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Yoshimitsu's closed guard. He's half up but Yoshimitsu has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Yoshimitsu pivots and extends the arm, Fuma falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Yoshimitsu! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryo Yoshimitsu! A relieved looking Ryo Yoshimitsu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
