Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McWimpy.
McWimpy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balboa.
Balboa stuffs the takedown.
Balboa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Gimpy McWimpy has been cut.
McWimpy throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Balboa avoids a punch combination nicely.
McWimpy ducks right into an uppercut from Balboa.
Balboa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McWimpy slips a straight right by Balboa.
McWimpy throws a head kick but Balboa moves out of range.
Balboa really is a fat lump.
McWimpy tries to work over Balboa's front leg with a kick but Balboa checks it.
McWimpy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Balboa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McWimpy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McWimpy moves out of range as Balboa strikes.
Sloppy strikes from McWimpy. Those never looked like landing.
Balboa throws a jab but it's blocked by McWimpy.
Balboa avoids the head kick by McWimpy.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Balboa and McWimpy goes tumbling to the canvas! Balboa follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
McWimpy is rocked!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McWimpy tries to roll over but Balboa keeps him under control.
Balboa trying to pass the guard but McWimpy defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Balboa is controlling the pace.
McWimpy missing with punches from the bottom.
Balboa trying to mount his opponent but McWimpy defends it.
Balboa is trying to work for a kimura but McWimpy is defending well.
McWimpy gets back to full guard.
McWimpy wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Balboa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
McWimpy trying to strike off his back.
Balboa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McWimpy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McWimpy has escaped and now he's on top!
McWimpy stopping the sweep attempt from Balboa.
McWimpy trying to control the position from guard on top but Balboa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McWimpy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Balboa wants to sweep here but McWimpy controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McWimpy tries to free his leg and advance position but Balboa is retaining full guard.
McWimpy wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Balboa pulls McWimpy in close to prevent any damage.
Gimpy McWimpy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Balboa throws a lazy right hand but McWimpy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Balboa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That has opened up Gimpy McWimpy's cut even more.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McWimpy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Balboa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Balboa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rocky Balboa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A cross from Balboa lands.
McWimpy misses with an attempted mid kick.
Balboa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McWimpy moves away.
Balboa misses with a two punch combination.
Balboa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The cut above Gimpy McWimpy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A combination from McWimpy does no damage.
McWimpy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Balboa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rocky Balboa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gimpy McWimpy.
Balboa moves out of range as McWimpy strikes.
Balboa misses with an uppercut. McWimpy saw that one coming.
Balboa's corner calls for a 1-2. Balboa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McWimpy is still on wobbly legs! Can Balboa finish him?
McWimpy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Balboa.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Balboa connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt McWimpy covering up! Balboa comes in with a big uppercut and McWimpy goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rocky Balboa!
