Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lew Alcindor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcindor comes into the arena with could you be loved blaring out of the sound system. Tank James has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lew Alcindor's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lew Alcindor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tank James! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James misses with an uppercut. Alcindor saw that one coming. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice shot by James. James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alcindor moves away. James lands with a hook. Alcindor tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A big right from James misses. James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Alcindor paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. James has Alcindor pressed against the ropes.
Alcindor blocks a body shot from James. James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alcindor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Alcindor postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alcindor, into his guard. Alcindor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tank James dominated that round. That's time! Alcindor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
James forces Alcindor back against the ropes and clinches. James jumps guard and drags Alcindor to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Alcindor is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows. Alcindor postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it. Alcindor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alcindor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alcindor postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Alcindor throws a big elbow that misses. They are putting on a show! Alcindor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now. Alcindor throws a strike but James rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

James would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Alcindor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. James must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Alcindor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alcindor working away from the top, dropping strikes. Alcindor throws some wild stikes that James manages to avoid easily.
Alcindor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Alcindor is in the full mount, landing strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James wants to hold on but Alcindor pushes him away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Alcindor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Alcindor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… James is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by James and Alcindor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. James wants to control but Alcindor postures up. James is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. James avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Alcindor. James takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! James throws out a leg kick but Alcindor moves out of range and James only half commits. James fails with an attempt to clinch.
James pushes Alcindor up against the ropes in a clinch. James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

James closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alcindor's guard. Alcindor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alcindor looking for a sweep. Not yet Alcindor, not yet.

James tries to hold on but Alcindor postures up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Alcindor lands a big elbow. James lands with a nice body punch. Tank James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James jabs at Alcindor's body. Alcindor shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. James throws a body kick that misses. James fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alcindor. James moves in looking to clinch but Alcindor pushes him off. James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alcindor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alcindor circles away from the clinch attempt.

James scores with a takedown into Alcindor's guard. James is sitting in close to Alcindor's body. Alcindor has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! James is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, James is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Alcindor.
