Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Ketchup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Ketchup has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 40 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alberto Del Rio!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Rio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ketchup defends it nicely.
Ketchup closes the distance and clinches up with Del Rio, looking for a takedown. Ketchup pushes Del Rio against the cage but Del Rio circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ketchup gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Del Rio to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Del Rio prevents Ketchup from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Del Rio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ketchup has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Del Rio has managed to get both his arms back between Ketchup's legs - danger averted.

Ketchup manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ketchup shoots in for a takedown but Del Rio shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ketchup enables Del Rio to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ketchup manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ketchup is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

John Ketchup has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Del Rio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ketchup is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ketchup pushes Del Rio off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Ketchup will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ketchup has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Del Rio uses from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ketchup is on top in guard.

Del Rio is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ketchup jumps into side control!
Del Rio takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ketchup lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Del Rio is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ketchup is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Ketchup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ketchup can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Del Rio is looking to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Del Rio is squirming around, avoiding Ketchup's attempts to control the action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ketchup trying to control but Del Rio is having none of it.

Ketchup has hold of Del Rio's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Del Rio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Ketchup dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ketchup lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Del Rio backs up against the cage.

John Ketchup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

John Ketchup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alberto Del Rio.

Ketchup shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ketchup was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ketchup takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ketchup trying to control but Del Rio is having none of it.

Ketchup wants to control the pace but Del Rio is squirming around nicely.
Ketchup is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Del Rio can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Del Rio holds of for dear life.

Ketchup swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
