Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Valentijn Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Rik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rik has chosen The walking dead as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berg scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rik forces Berg back against the cage and clinches.
Rik manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Rik lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Valentijn Berg has been cut.
Berg has Rik pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rik manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rik looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Berg blocks an elbow strike.
Rik with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rik.
Rik stalling against the cage.
Rik continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Rik pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Berg wants to stall.
Berg is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Berg is trying to break the clinch but Rik is controlling him.

Rik lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Berg takes an elbow to the temple.

Rik scores with a knee to the head.
Rik misses with some punches.

With the fighters up against the cage, Rik throws an elbow but misses.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rik.
Rik jumps into guard, dragging Berg to the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Berg wants to control from the top but Rik keeps moving.
Rik pushes Berg off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Berg throws a front kick aimed at Rik's knee but Rik avoids it well.

Rik looks to clinch
and Berg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rik tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rik closes the distance and clinches.
Berg blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rik has Berg pushed against the cage.
Rik has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Berg clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rik scores with punches to the body.
Berg just trying to survive but Rik is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Berg tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Rik lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Berg hang on?
Valentijn Berg's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rik lands a big shot there that rocks Berg but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jeez, Valentijn Berg's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Valentijn Berg's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shane Rik!
Post fight, Shane Rik stared into the camera and said 'I'm walking dead !'.
