The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Thompson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thompson tries a head kick but it misses.
Alves blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Thompson scores with a head kick.
It looks like Kane Alves has been cut.
Sean Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves moves out of range as Thompson throws a body kick.
Thompson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Alves counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Thompson tries to land a leg kick but Alves saw it coming and moves away.
Alves connects with a good right hand that stumbles Thompson. Thompson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Alves scores with a body shot.
Thompson takes one on the button.
Thompson takes one to the side of the head.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses.

and Alves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Alves takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Thompson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Alves lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Thompson lands a jab-cross combination.

Thompson shoots in but no luck this time.
Thompson lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Alves crumples to the floor! Thompson milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
