Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Brown! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Brown misses. Brown takes a swing at Diaz's ribcage but misses. Diaz has closed the distance and engaged Brown in a clinch.
Diaz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Brown.
Diaz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tyson Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Diaz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brown is controlling him. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brown looking to pass the guard. Diaz controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown prevents Diaz from getting back to his feet. Diaz has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle. Diaz working a defensive guard here.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Diaz tries to get out of the position. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Diaz's temple. Brown frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brown lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Brown is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Diaz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut. Brown cracks Diaz with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
