The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masterson lands with a nice body kick.
Masterson missing with a left hand there. Rapp was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rapp keeps the fight on the outside.
Masterson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Rapp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Masterson.
Masterson tries to score with a low kick but Rapp moves his leg out of the way.
No joy there for Rapp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Mitch Rapp has been cut.
Ja Masterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rapp circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rapp lands with an overhand left.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rapp misses with a double jab.
Masterson moves in looking to clinch but Rapp pushes him off.
Masterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice sprawl there from Rapp as Masterson shoots in.

Rapp moves forwards but Masterson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Masterson tries to move into range but Rapp moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Rapp has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rapp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masterson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rapp cracks Masterson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rapp lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rapp scores with the left hand. Masterson knows he should have avoided that one.

Masterson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rapp gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
