Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregg Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John McGuirk!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGuirk lands a left and a right that send Randolph crashing to the mat, dazed. McGuirk thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Gregg Randolph has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Randolph lets loose with a powerful body kick. McGuirk will feel that in the morning.
McGuirk throws a wild body kick that Randolph sees coming a mile off.

McGuirk drives through and clinches with Randolph against the cage.
Randolph misses with a hook from the clinch.

McGuirk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Randolph throws a head kick that McGuirk semi-blocks.
Randolph slips a jab and a cross from McGuirk.
McGuirk shoots in looking for a takedown but Randolph manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGuirk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Randolph throws a leg kick
and McGuirk counters with a good low kick that Randolph was not able to check.
McGuirk misses with a takedown attempt - Randolph sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Randolph blocks a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randolph misses with a hook.
No luck for McGuirk with that takedown attempt.
Gregg Randolph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McGuirk.
McGuirk looks for a takedown but Randolph sprawls well.
Randolph showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McGuirk.
A looping hook to the body misses from McGuirk. Randolph does a little dance to reset his feet.
A solid body kick from McGuirk.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGuirk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McGuirk dodges the punch combination from Randolph.
Randolph throws a half hearted mid kick.
Randolph fails in his attempt to clinch.

McGuirk lands a big head kick that sends Randolph tumbling to the mat! McGuirk takes a step backwards and waves Randolph back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gregg Randolph is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for McGuirk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good leg kick by McGuirk there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Randolph is breathing heavily.
McGuirk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McGuirk fails to land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Randolph stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Randolph wants it to stay on the feet.
McGuirk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Randolph has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Randolph throws a leg kick
and McGuirk counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Randolph slips a jab and a cross from McGuirk.
Randolph fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McGuirk is out of range.
McGuirk looks for a left high kick but can't connect. McGuirk backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Randolph's temple! It sends Randolph violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as McGuirk celebrates and the doctors try to help Randolph!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). John McGuirk!
