Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luca Luka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yorans Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes has chosen Project X The Real Soundtrack - Kid Cudi - Pursuit of Happiness (Steve Aoki as his entrance music. Yorans Gomes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gomes.
Gomes tries to clinch up.
Luka circles away from the clinch attempt
and Luka counters by clinching up.
Luka connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gomes's face.
Gomes prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gomes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Gomes as Luka shoots in.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Luka.

Gomes lands a nice shot that snaps Luka's head back.
Luka shoots in looking for a takedown but Gomes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Luka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Luka shoots in and drives through. Gomes sprawls well.

Luka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomes swivels and escapes.

Gomes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Luka as he avoids it easily.
Gomes clinches up with Luka and pushes him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gomes shoots in looking for a takedown. Luka tries to sprawl out of it but Gomes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gomes gets a clinch.
Gomes pulls guard successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Luka wants to control from the top but Gomes keeps moving.
Luka gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Luka stalks Gomes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gomes's face. Gomes staggers backwards, shaken.
Gomes shoots in for a double leg but Luka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Luka. Gomes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gomes shoots for a takedown but Luka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Luka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Luka has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gomes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gomes jumps guard but Luka turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Luka tries for a takedown. No joy.
Luka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gomes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gomes wants to take the fight to the mat but Luka manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Luka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gomes manages to pull guard.
Luka working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Luka with a flurry of punches that miss.
Luka looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Luka throws a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Luca Luka will probably get the nod.
That's time! Luka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice takedown defense from Gomes. No joy for Luka on that attempt.
Gomes throws a leg kick which misses Luka's front leg but catches the back leg as Luka tries to avoid it.
Luka rushes Gomes and presses him up against the cage.
Gomes breaks from the clinch.
Luka misses with a body shot.
Luka misses with a double jab.
Luka closes the distance and pushes Gomes back into the cage.
Luka blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Luka jumps into guard, dragging Gomes to the mat.
Gomes trying to control the position from guard on top but Luka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gomes is standing up over Luka. Luka looks to escape but Gomes dives into side control.

Luka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gomes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Luka is not content to let Gomes control the position.
Gomes works to advance to full mount. Luka defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Gomes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Luka tries to hold on but Gomes postures up.
Gomes looking to control but Luka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Gomes fails to advance to Luka's back.
Luka bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gomes manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Luka keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Luka wants to control but Gomes is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gomes looking to control but Luka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gomes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Luka kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Luka tries to lock up and control but Gomes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gomes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Luka's face.
Luka is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Gomes wants to take a breather but Luka is having none of it.
Luka avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gomes.

Luka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gomes is working away from the top position though.

Yorans Gomes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Gomes is pressed up against the cage. Luka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gomes down to the mat. Gomes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Luka takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Luka tries to score a body lock takedown but Gomes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Gomes keeps control of Luka as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Luka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gomes smiles and moves away.

Luka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gomes walks away with a smile on his face. Luka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gomes tries to clinch but Luka is having none of it.
Gomes throws a nice looking combination but Luka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Luka.

Gomes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Luka. That did some damage!

Luka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gomes.

Yorans Gomes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gomes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
